 "description": "<DIV STYLE=\"text-align:Left;\"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>These districts were established when zoning was created for Los Angeles County many years ago. It was a way to break the county up into distinct areas, smaller units, for easier record keeping and organization. It is still in use to identify and keep track of those ordinances and for running queries against permits and ordinances. <\/SPAN><\/P><P><SPAN STYLE=\"font-weight:bold;\">UPDATE HISTORY:<\/SPAN><\/P><UL><LI><P><SPAN>12/24/13 to combine a portion of the Palmdale Zoned District into the North Palmdale Zoned District (it was found that the boundary was incorrect per the ZCO map). <\/SPAN><\/P><\/LI><LI><P><SPAN>6/19/14 for annexation to City of Palmdale (annexation no. 2011-07).<\/SPAN><\/P><\/LI><LI><P><SPAN>10/16/14 for annexation to City of Covina (annexation No. 2013-05)<\/SPAN><\/P><\/LI><LI><P><SPAN>12/16/14 for Santa Clarita annexation effective as of 10/14/14<\/SPAN><\/P><\/LI><\/UL><UL><LI><P><SPAN>4/22/15 - Annexation to Los Angeles from Florence-Firestone (Jordan Downs)<\/SPAN><\/P><\/LI><LI><P><SPAN>8/31/15 - updated Universal City for Reorganization 2014-01.<\/SPAN><\/P><\/LI><LI><P><SPAN>3/29/16 - updated for slight city boundary adjustment in Palmdale (APN #3022-012-017)<\/SPAN><\/P><\/LI><LI><P><SPAN>11/22/16 - updated from massive city boundary update per DPW data, and Santa Clarita annexation that became effective on 11/15/16.<\/SPAN><\/P><\/LI><LI><P><SPAN>11/21/18 - updated for Plum Canyon / Skyline Ranch / North Sand Canyon Annexation.
